4th Generation Handheld 1064 nm Raman Analyzer

Your first line of defense against the unknown

In high-stakes environments where every second matters, having the right intelligence can mean the difference between safety and disaster. While Icon-X is Rigaku's fourth generation in its line of 1064 nm Raman analyzers, it is the first to provide standoff chemical analysis in order to scan potentially dangerous substances from a safe distance. This is critical for military, first responders, EOD, and border protection teams who could potentially be exposed to explosive threats, such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs), homemade explosives (HMEs), and chemical threats. This new feature also reduces the need for time-consuming sample collection, while allowing responders to assess hazards without disrupting the scene.

Users now have the unique ability to scan samples from a distance or scan with contact - providing more versatility in stressful environments.

Icon-X Overview

Featuring a more ergonomic form factor, the Rigaku Icon-X joins the 1064 nm fleet of the award-winning 1064 nm Raman CQL platform, with improvements in all areas, including:

  • Enhanced performance with faster scan processing
  • Illuminated keypad and larger, more responsive touchscreen for even easier use
  • GPS ability to mark critical scan data for fleet management and sensitive site exploitation
  • Upgraded 13 MP camera with LED flash to produce images that are more clear
  • More ruggedized with an environmental rating of MIL 810H and IP-68 for use in harsh environments and decon purposes
  • New accessories to expand applications, including short-range standoff capabilities in order to scan from a distance, as well as a ballprobe for easier sample access

4th Generation of Rigaku's 1064 nm Raman advantage

Rigaku is known for the utilization of a 1064 nm Raman laser excitation to reduce fluorescence interference.  This is a common issue when scanning colored or dirty substances with older generation Raman devices.  As with previous Rigaku platforms, users of the Icon-X can expect a result every scan, while utilizing the latest technology available today for greater longevity.

Unparalleled Support

The Icon-X represents the latest in chemical threat analysis and is supported by Rigaku's global distribution channels that offers:

  • Comprehensive training options
  • Access to 24/7 Reachback support
  • Spectral library updates
  • Software upgrades
  • 36-month manufacturer's warranty with additional coverage options
