STA

STA is a simultaneous thermal analyzer of TG (Thermogravimetry) and DTA (Differential Thermal Analysis). When a sample is heated according to a specific temperature program, TG measures the weight change of the sample, while DTA measures the thermal energy change. This thermal analyzer is widely used for analyzing the thermal properties of various materials due to its ability to perform reproducible measurements with relatively small sample amounts.

Rigaku's TG adopts a horizontal differential method, which minimizes the influence of the atmosphere gas flow and allows for the highly accurate detection of minute weight changes. Additionally, it comes standard with dynamic TG, which controls the temperature based on the weight change rate, enabling the acquisition of data with improved separation resolution compared to constant heating rate measurements. Dynamic TG offers two measurement modes: Stepwise Isothermal Analysis (SIA) mode and Constant Reaction Control (CRC) mode. The design also accommodates extensive expandability for sample observation, measurements in a high-concentrate water vapor atmosphere, and evolved gas analysis.
