Composites
X‑ray CT for 3D imaging of fillers and fibers
Composites are a combination of two or more materials, and how each element is distributed influences the material's characteristics. X‑ray CT (computed tomography) provides 3D images of composites non-destructively, allowing us to analyze filler and fiber size, shape, distribution, and orientation in composites. In addition, pores and cracks in composites can be visualized and quantified.
