Course name: ZSX Primus IV and Supermini200 training
Duration: 3-days
Sessions: September 10-12, 2024
December 3-5, 2024
February 18-20, 2025
September 9-11, 2025
December 2-4, 2025
Course times: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (CET)
Location: RESE XRF Application Lab
Neu-Isenburg, Germany

General Scope

The trainings focus on the practical use of Rigaku spectrometers and software. The sessions will mainly take place at the instrument and well selected examples and exercises will be used to make you familiar with basic principles and functionality.

The courses give an overview of the ZSX Guidance software, cover on the one hand the standardless SQX-Analysis and approaches to refining SQX results. On the other hand, strategies are explained how to develop quantitative analysis methods (calibrations) considering the respective analytical situation (line overlaps, matrix & preparation effects etc.).

Depending on the participants’ analytical requirements, special topics will be explained during the course on request (e.g. spot analysis & mapping, thin film, filters etc.)

Topics like PHA adjustment, drift correction, monitoring the instrument and performing control measurements will be discussed. Utilities and additional software functions (chemical compounds, data backup…) are shown as well.

Who should attend

Chemists, Operators, Engineers, Research Scientists and University Students in University and Operators of the XRF spectrometers supplied by Rigaku.

How to join

Registration is required. The number of places is limited.

An email with the details will be sent to registered attendees prior to the training course.

Persons attending the training are advised to have a personal computer with ZSX Guidance software installed and the software dongle/network license that is required to run the software.

Note: During training course, the latest version of software for instrument control and analysis software that is available on the market is used. Therefore, details of the operation might be different from your environment. Our trainers are available to discuss the operations on your version of the software.

Please, note, our application scientists are available for discussions or demonstrations of other Rigaku products, e.g. SMX XRD systems or XRF spectrometers, therefore please let us know in advance to schedule these appointments in case of interest.
