Sample Observation STA8122
Sample observation STA (Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer)
Differential thermogravimetry with sample observation function
This STA model enables the visual monitoring of the changes in the sample during thermal analysis measurement.
It consists of a sample observation furnace with a built-in microscope and STA main unit, and can observe and photograph changes in samples in the temperature range from room temperature to 1000°C.
Sample Observation STA8122 Overview
A differential thermobalance features visual observation of sample changes while performing thermal analysis.
It consists of an electric resistance furnace with integrated microscope equipped with sample observation function and STA main unit, and can observe and photograph changes in samples in the temperature range from room temperature to 1000°C.
It allows to monitor such as the shrinkage behavior of ceramics during sintering, shape changes associated with the glass transition/softening/flow of glass, and the flow and foaming state of polymers during melting and decomposition.
Electric furnace with a built-in microscope
The twin holder differential TG-DTA uses a horizontal differential triple coil system that corrects and cancels various fluctuations that cause TG drift to achieve easier and higher accurate weight change measurement. The integrated electric furnace can be easily replaced in the same way as a conventional electric furnace.
Compatible with Automatic sample changer (ASC)
Using with automatic sample changer (optional) allows unmanned measurement and photography.
Useful high temperatures up to 1,000℃
Enables to observe the realistic changes that occur in a sample when heated from room temperature to 1000°C and cooled from 1000°C to room temperature.

Sample Observation STA8122 Options
The following accessories are available for this product:
Safety Cover for STA8122
Encloses the automatic sample changer and furnace to ensure safety during measurements
Reflection prevention filter
Suppresses the reflection of the camera lighting during sample observation measurements of glossy or transparent samples
Devitrification Prevention Unit
Used to prevent devitrification of the quartz protection tube in the STA sample observation unit
Gas Selector
Links to the measurement program and switches the gases flowing into the sample chamber.
Flow Meter
The flow meter controls the flow rate of the atmospheric gas (inert gas, air, etc.) supplied to the sample chamber.
2ch-FLOW COMPO Jr.
Enables gas flow, flow rate setting and switching of gases with precision specified in the measurement program. Gas types and full scale can be selected.
Sample Pan
Depending on the sample to be measured (especially if the sample is metal), it may melt the sample pan and damage the sample holder or other parts of the instrument.
Sample sealer / Sample crimper
A sample pan shaping tool with three functions: sample crimper, sample sealer, and high-pressure sample sealer.
