Dynamic TMA
With this unit, temperature control is performed with the sample’s shrinkage rate as a parameter, not with the constant temperature heating rate. This method can be used as a simulation for ceramic sintering in creating sintered materials at a controlled shrinkage rate. The figure shows the result of dynamic TMA measurement of the alumina before sintering. As you can see, the temperature is controlled so that the shrinkage rate is constant (0.1%/min).
