Devitrification Prevention Unit

This is used to prevent devitrification of the quartz protection tube in the STA sample observation unit. The phenomenon of “devitrification" can occur when the clear quartz material of the protection tube loses its transparency due to contact with impurities such as alkali metal vapors, salts, and moisture generated during sample heating. By adding a devitrification prevention unit, the visibility of the protection tube is maintained. Additionally, it helps to reduce the cost of replacing the protection tube.
