X-ray Computed Tomography Virtual Workshop #1. Micro-CT Data Collection Techniques Part 1
You will see a demonstration of X‑ray Computed Tomography (CT) measurements using a benchtop micro-CT scanner in this workshop. The audience participated in selecting scanning conditions and comparing different results. We discuss how to optimize various parameters, such as X‑ray energy, resolution, scan time, and sample preparation.
You will learn:
- How CT scans are done, starting from mounting the sample to obtaining the reconstructed volume data
- How to optimize CT scan conditions based on the sample material and size
- How each scan condition affects the contrast, resolution, and signal-to-noise ratio
