Refrigerated cooling STA

STA with a refrigerated cooling unit allows measurements from -40°C and enables temperature control measurements to lower temperature ranges than conventional models. An optional auto sample changer can be connected.

When evaluating gas adsorption—such as CO2—in adsorbent evaluations, adsorption increases at lower temperature, so evaluations below room temperature may be necessary. This allows the study of gas adsorption characteristics of materials below room temperature, making it possible to evaluate the adsorption of gases that do not adsorb much at room temperature. Furthermore, since it can be heated to 700°C, it is possible to perform pretreatment and adsorption/desorption measurements in one measurement by setting a temperature increase/decrease program as a pretreatment to desorb gases already adsorbed on the material.
