Petroleum and Petrochemicals

 Petroleum and petrochemical analysis supports exploration, refining, process control, product quality and regulatory compliance. Common analytical needs include measuring sulfur and other elements in crude oil, fuels and lubricants; monitoring refinery streams and blending operations; characterizing catalysts and deposits; and analyzing petrochemical products. XRF, XRD and process X-ray techniques provide elemental, phase and real-time process information for laboratory and production environments. 

 Rigaku instruments comply with the relevant measurement protocols, including ASTM D2622, D7220, D4294, and IP 532, as well as EN ISO 8754 & 20847. The Rigaku NEX XT process analyzer is used for on-line measurement of sulfur for refineries, pipelines, blending operations, bunkering terminals, and other storage facilities.
