    Field Service Specialist (m/f/d) (Europe)

    Rigaku Europe SE has a position open for a Field Service Engineer to support our customers in the Semiconductor Metrology Industry. This position will involve the installation, maintenance and repair of Analytical X-ray Equipment, XRR measurement tools, Thin Film measurement tools, Wafer Analyzers, X-ray HV Power Supplies, X-ray Detection Devices, Automation Devices, CCD Cameras, Cryogenic Equipment and other relate devices. This position requires a large amount of travel Monday thru Friday with the possibility of some weekend and holiday work within the legal requirements.

    LOCATION: Europe, particularly Southern Mainland Europe <2 hours from major airport) and Germany (ideally Frankfurt or Nuremburg area).

    Your role:
    • Travel to customer locations within Europe and occasionally beyond to install, service, and maintain Rigaku equipment and associated devices (typically 75% of the working week away from home).
    • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems with customer equipment.
    • Install, upgrade, and maintain system software.
    • Troubleshoot issues both on-site and via remote communications.
    • Provide customers with phone assistance and remote online support.
    • Perform customer training on the alignment and use of their systems.
    • Complete and submit service reports for all service work performed.
    • Maintain and update customer profiles as changes occur to customer equipment.
    • Diagnose and solve mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems involved in product operation.
    • Use schematics, wiring diagrams, and verbal and written instructions to install and assemble products.
    • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
    Your qualifications:
    • Ideally, 3+ years of experience in the use/maintenance of semiconductor X-ray systems.
    • Degree/PhD in Electronics Engineering or relevant technical subject (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic and mechanical systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Willingness to travel extensively and be away from home (75%+).
    • No restrictions on travel within EMEAI and internationally.
    • Full clean driving license.

    Rigaku is seeking an additional Regional Account Manager for XRD (m/f/d). The ideal candidate will currently reside in the UK and will report to the Sales Director XRD, XRF and XI.

    Primary duties and responsibilities
    • Meeting sales targets and growing sales by prospecting for new customers, capturing competitors' customers, and retaining Rigaku customers.
    • Effectively communicate the value of Rigaku instruments and technology.
    • Understand the needs of prospective customers in order to qualify their instrumentation requirements.
    • Routinely meeting existing and prospective customers in person and virtually.
    • Arranging and hosting prospective customer visits to Rigaku offices for product demonstrations. Demonstrations will be supported by dedicated applications scientists.
    • Guiding and supporting customers through the grant application, evaluation, and procurement processes including the preparation of tender responses.
    • Negotiating final terms (price, warranty, delivery, conditions, etc.) of a contract.

    Qualifications/requirements

    • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, preparation, and presentation skills.
    • Computer literacy is required with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs as well as the Salesforce.com customer relationship management database.
    • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed is a requirement.
    • An outgoing personality with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic is desired.

    Technical Coordinator (m/f/d)

    The role of the Rigaku Europe SE (RESE) Technical Coordinator (m/f/d) is to work closely with the different teams within the RESE organisation, directly with customers, and with other third parties. Daily tasks will include the planning of upcoming instrument installations / upgrades and PMs, coordinating unplanned maintenance visits, plus other service  related responsibilities. 

    Your role:

    Technical Coordinator key responsibilities :

    • Coordinate daily service operations to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and optimised Rigaku resource productivity and efficiency with close consideration for business financial overheads and working time legislation, to includes:
      • Unscheduled maintenance visits
      • Planned Preventative Maintenance 
      • Installations and Upgrades
      • Pre-installation visits
    • Coordinate and assign incoming e-mail service support requests.
    • Plan and maintain service resource scheduling and calendars. 
    • Maintain regular dialogue with service resources to discuss upcoming work and responsibilities
    • Provide weekly reporting to Service Management 
      Escalation outstanding or problem issues
    • Internal and external coordination issues
    Your qualifications:
    • Ideally 3+ years of experience in the use and maintenance of semiconductor X-ray systems.
    • Bachelor’s degree or PhD in Electronics Engineering or relevant technical subject (or equivalent experience)
